A Message from Rev. Gerald Macatney

Welcome to our parish website.  We hope that you will take time to browse through the site and experience the atmosphere and activities of our church.

Rev MacartneyMilltown is a rural parish situated on the southern shores of Lough Neagh.  It is a parish of some 220 families which we hope caters for all the families both young and old.  My aim, as rector, is to faithfully preach the word of God and in doing so I pray that we will all be drawn into a closer relationship with our creator.  As a result of this new, closer relationship we will also be drawn closer to each other as one family.  The atmosphere we strive to achieve is one of welcome, friendliness and love to all.

Our services are a mixture of both traditional and modern language as laid out in the Book of Common Prayer 2004.  We are fortunate in that, apart from our traditional organ led music, we have a music group and praise group who offer more contemporary music.  This mixture of old and new blends well together.

As a parish within the Church of Ireland we are therefore a part of the wider Anglican Communion and we extend a welcome, not only to fellow Anglicans, but to all who would like to join us as we praise our God and give him our thanks for all that he has provided for us.

If you would like to visit our church or join in our worship please click the links for directions to the church and parish hall.

May God bless you all in your journey of faith.Sig
